LA COMISIÓN DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS,

Visto el Tratado constitutivo de la Comunidad Europea,

Visto el Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2002, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del Proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto (1), cuya última modificación la constituye el Reglamento (CE) n° 1536/2003 de la Comisión (2), y, en particular, su artículo 20,

Considerando lo siguiente:

(1) El artículo 20 del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 prevé la modificación de la lista de participantes del sistema de certificación del Proceso de Kimberley, incluidos los miembros de la OMC y los territorios aduaneros independientes que satisfacen los requisitos del sistema.

(2) La Presidencia del sistema de certificación del Proceso de Kimberley, a través de su Notificación de 11 de septiembre de 2003, ha proporcionado una lista actualizada de participantes en dicho sistema. La actualización de la lista se refiere en particular a la inclusión de Vietnam. Procede, por lo tanto, modificar el anexo II en consecuencia.

HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:

Artículo 1

El anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 será sustituido por el anexo del presente Reglamento.

Artículo 2

El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor el día de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.

El presente Reglamento será aplicable a partir del 12 de septiembre de 2003.

El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.
